There are millions of people out there who probably would do anything to marry former One Direction star Louis Tomlinson, but they’ve got competition, because one fan actually appeared to succeed.
The wild part is, Tomlinson didn’t even seem to know it had happened!
The whole bizarre marriage situation began when Tomlinson was on tour with his ‘Faith In The Future’ album earlier this year, when he was performing in venues and meeting fans across the globe.
It was while he was in Jakarta that the ‘Bigger Than Me’ singer came across his wife-to-be, though to Tomlinson she likely seemed to be just another fan at the time.
What Tomlinson didn’t know was that the fan was actually a TikToker who goes by the handle ‘@ladycryalot’, and she’d come prepared.
In a post on TikTok, the fan shared some insight as to what had happened as she said: “So I just got back from ‘Faith in the Future’ in Jakarta, and I lost my voice because I was having fun, I was having so much fun.
“And I went there as a single woman, right? I don’t have any boyfriend, I don’t have any fiancée or something like that, but I got back from there as a married woman.”
“I’m a married woman. I’m married to Louis Tomlinson. I’m his lawfully wedded wife,” she continued.
So, how exactly did she pull this off?

Well, as you might have already guessed, the fan claimed that the document Tomlinson had signed was actually a marriage certificate, which featured an image of himself and the fan.
Tomlinson did seem to realize that the piece of paper the fan wanted him to sign wasn’t just a regular sheet out of the printer, as he asked her: “What’s this, some kind of declaration of marriage, is it?”
It might not have been how he’d imagine himself tying the knot, but Tomlinson agreed to sign the document, before joking that he would have to come back to Jakarta more often if his ‘wife’ wanted him to.

The fan explained: “I did not go to the meet and greet but my friend did, and my friend asked him ‘are you going to go back to Jakarta’, and he answered ‘if my wife wants to’, after he signed this.
“I’m his wife, are you kidding me?,” she added.
Though the fan was clearly very happy to describe herself as Tomlinson’s new wife, it’s worth noting that marriages in Indonesia are not officially recognized unless there’s been a ceremony. So if you’re a fan who’s still holding out hope, don’t give up!
